Bob was appointed to the Council after MaryAnn Brigham resigned. Prior to being appointed to the Council, Bob served on the Cloverdale Planning Commission where he was involved in the General Plan Update and the development of the Urban Growth Boundary. He has volunteered at the Historical Society, working on the grand opening of the new History Center and served as the Set-Up and Tear Down Chairman for the Fiddle Fest the last two years. Bob also spent many hours volunteering during the renovation of the new Performing Art Center and is a sponsor and co-volunteer of the annual Movies on First events. He is a member of Clo-Net (Cloverdale Neighborhood Network). In addition to his duties as Vice Mayor, Bob is part of the Steering Committee of CAFE, the Cloverdale Alliance for Financial Education. CAFE is currently manning a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site aiding low-income residents in preparing and e-filing their tax returns, free of charge. As Vice Mayor, Bob serves on the Airport Sub-Committee, is the liaison to the Library Board and Cloverdale Pilots Association, serves on the Board of the Russian River Watershed Association, is Chair of the Planning & Community Development Sub-Committee, and serves as Cloverdale's representative to SWAG (Solid Waste Advisory Group). In his spare time, Bob likes to travel.
